Unethical Ads in Online Advertising
Pop-ups, Pop-unders, and Fake Dialogue Boxes can be consider unethical. The pop-up ad which appears in a small window in front of the main browser window and the pop-under which appears behind the main browser window forces user to see it. It would be there until they close that window. Therefore, advertisers may be hoping that users will accidentally click on the window while attempting to close it and thus be taken to the advertiser's site. Although Pop-ups and Pop-unders are widely used in online advertising, both risk irritating the potential customer.
Pop ups becomes the most hated advertising technique according to the research. Most people use to block them although these ads have a high click-through rate. However, most of those clicks may happen when people try to close the window. Pop ups may work for content, but are not well-accepted for ads.
Besides that, there are fake dialogue boxes ads that look like the system messages from your computer can be found in most web site.It is a gray rectangles that pop up on your screen with a message and an "OK" button. It gives the wrong perception to user by clicking "OK" it will close the window but it actually links to the advertiser's web site. This would make users feel cheated and has percieve all related ads are fake.
"There’s nothing good that’s going to come from that approach," says Neil Hair, an assistant professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology who has researched on people's perceptions of online ads. "You’ll just make people mad. … It’s just destroying your image longer term." Younger people especially react negatively to those types of ads, he says.
These are just a few examples of unethical ads. There are more examples that will be discussed on the next post. You are welcome to leave your comment about this topic.

Online Ads may be Fake
It sure seems dishonourable and disingenuous for online marketers to use a fake name to steer Internet Surfers to a website to buy something while using a fake name. Some justify their deception by stating that it is a "pen name" but is that really sufficient, as it is still a fake name and trickery tactics that are being deployed?
It seems especially problematic when that Internet Surfer or potential buyer believes they are going there based on information that a real person gave them, such as an article on a blog or one that appeared in an online newsletter.
Advertising goods and services online is actually a viable business in itself. Affiliate programmes, advertising keyword campaigns and pay per click advertising are all important strategies in driving web traffic - or potential consumers - to a website. For this reason, online sellers in particular may be tempted to stretch or slightly distort the truth regarding the pricing or description of their goods and services. However, we should be aware that online traders, just like their high street counterparts, are under a legal obligation to provide their consumers with non-misleading advertisements.
I never actually thought of to share this topic with everyone till i randomly read an article on Wall Street Journal, entitled: "Beware online job ads: They may be fake." (Tuesday, February 17, 2009. VOL.XXXIII NO.117) The headline abruptly triggers me to discuss this issue so everyone is alert of the mischief it might cause.
It is important that we understand these things and stay out of trouble and out of the gray area of the World Wide Web.

Analysis Result
The answers are :
a) Yes.Google had caused the lost.
b) Yes.Google should only responsible partially.
c) No.It was not Google's fault.
d) No.It was an unexpected incident.
The analysis result shown that :
(1) 40% people voted for "b) Yes.Google should only responsible partially."
(2) 30% people voted for "c) No.It was not Google's fault.
(3) 20% people voted for "d) No.It was an unexpected incident."
(4) 10% people voted for ''a) Yes.Google had caused the lost."
Hence, this mean that most of the people thinks Google should not fully responsible for this issue but partially. However, there are many thinking that the incident was not Google's fault. In my opinion, the most perfect system will have its weakness too. Thus, i feel that it was not Google's fault but Google should be responsible to it partially to those who affected by the incident to make others confident and continue to use Google's service.
What is “Pay Per Click”?
What i am about to share today, is very edifying. It is all for readers out there, wondering, thinking, "hmph, what is Pay Per Click." Or PPC we call it, Pay Per Ranking, Pay Per Placement, Pay Per Position or Cost Per Click.
Because it is a relatively recent phenomenon, many online business owners do not understand the meaning of the term "pay-per-click advertising," nor do they realize its enormous potential for increasing their online presence and bringing more traffic to their websites. Even those who understand basic search engine marketing techniques sometimes fail to make the distinction between pay-per-click (hereafter, PPC) ad campaigns and organic search engine optimization.
Pay-per-click (PPC) search engines are those that offer the marketing option called "pay-per-click" to users. PPC advertising is the placement of a small ad on the search results page for a specific keyword or keywords in return for a specified payment when a visitor actually clicks on the ad. Advertisers pay nothing to appear on the results page per se; they only pay the amount they have agreed to (or bid for) when someone actually clicks on their ad and is taken to the landing page on their website. The term "pay per click" means just what it says: the advertiser pays each time a visitor clicks on the ad.
The most popular PPC search engine is Google; their PPC advertising program is called AdWords. The next most popular search engines are Yahoo!, MSN Live, and Ask. A large number of other search engines offering PPC advertising opportunities are available - ranging from metasearch engines that incorporate traffic from numerous other engines and online sources all the way to small, niche search engines that specialize in one or more categories or topics of interest.
PPC ad programs are evolving and becoming easier for first-time advertisers online to understand and use. The programs are flexible, can handle anything from one keyword to thousands of keywords, offer a dazzling array of bells and whistles, and come packaged with analytics and reporting options that range from the simple to the complex.

Importance of Online ads Placing
How to choose your ads placement?
As we read, the natural course of readers' eyes is from left to right, from top to bottom. Knowing the first area a reader lay his eyes on, the first choice for ads placement would be the top-left area of the page which will grant more attention.
Thus, wrong placement of ad usually lead to less viewable and eventually not effective. One who wish to advertise effectively not only to create an attractive ad but should always consider the ad placement. A good ad placement will gurantee you more money in return.
Example of good ad placement which grab the audience attention.
The MP3 Player has a good ad placement.

Making money through Pay Per Click Advertising
Talking about making money through Pay Per Click marketing. The idea of Pay Per Click marketing sounds like a really easy way making money online. But i shall say it isn't so. =) No free lunch in this world dear readers.
Many people associate Pay Per Click with affiliate marketing. The idea is this - pick a click bank product, post a PPC ad, get instance traffic and make sales.
That sounds easy. But i personally think even the best Pay Per Click marketing expert needs to spend a couple of hundreds to test their ads before they can strike gold.
Pay Per Click advertising has evolved so much that it is harder to get involved.
WHY?
Because there are many spying tools that can help Pay Per Click marketers to spy on other people's ads and find out which keywords and ad phrases are profitable. PPC Bully is one example in that case of point. As a newbie, without such tools, we are searching for gold in the dark and that can be quite costly.
However, the good thing about Pay Per Click marketing is that once we hit some ads that are profitable, they can be our cash cow for quite a while.
I have done my study and I failed completely. My advice is making money through Pay Per Click marketing, following the right guide and researches through different campaign can be very essential. If we simply want to run it and test the water, you will need to be superbly lucky hitting the jackpot.

I would check it out if is interesting.", "Yes.I would only glance through as i read the post." and "No.I dislike any kind of online ads." Only 1.2 percent voted "No.I do not even bother if is there."

Online Website Advertising
We cannot hide from it. Whether you are driving by a billboard, listening to the radio or flipping through the TV channels, every advertisement has dot.com this and dot.com that.
Here is a PDF file article showing Online advertising to grow seven times faster than offline advertising in 2007.
Even in a lean economy, the evolution of the Internet has business taking a new direction. Companies need a Web site even if these companies does not involved in e-commerce. Yet this new wave of marketing still takes some old-school advertising.
Online website advertising can be effectively managed at a low cost. This is especially helpful for small start-ups with limited capital. One of the common approaches is to write and submit product relevant articles to article directories online. This is a sure way of making your business known amongst the online community and will contribute to an increase in traffic to your web site.
Nonetheless, a successful Internet marketing campaign does not just take good strategies and clever use of marketing tools. Only with being creative and dynamic with your promotional tactics it will then successfully place a client ahead of the competition.
Web sites need more than good content. A comprehensive advertising campaign is the only way to make a Web site successful. You not only have to tempt potential customers to buy from you but you have to tempt them to buy from you NOW!
Therefore readers =) I'm sure not everyone will be in agreement with me that website advertising is after all a hit. Feel free to enlighten us with your thoughts! Merci!

Blog in Online Advertising
Marketers are quickly learned that blogs being potentially in advertising which is a great way to increase traffic in targeted areas of Online Advertising. There are many advantages using blogs to advertise rather than other websites.
At first, the nature of blogs is that they are constantly being posted on, this means that they are slowly increase contents regularly for search engine such as Google prefer sites. If a blog is popular enough that have a large audience reading it, it will likely be seen by your potential audience.
Popular blogs can be far more attractive than static websites as regular readers will check often to see what the blogger is posting about. At last, your advert has higher chance to increase conversion rate if the advert is targerted at a right audience.
The age of blog advertising is coming into prominence compared to the traditional pay-per-click PPC advertsing which is more redundant. As far as Online Advertising goes, blog is definitely continue to outshines.
Here is the example of commercial ads that can be display in a blog for advertising purpose.

Analysis Result
The analysis result is finally out! I would like to put across my big gratitude to Vizu Web Polls for their friendly user interface and not forgetting an ocean of thanks to readers whom read and make an effort to cast a vote. =)
Readers pick their vote through multiple choices in a list of 4.
- a) YES
- b) NO. I'LL JUST PASS. IT ISN'T THAT MADDENING YET.
- c) NO. CAUSE I AM ALREADY DOING THAT PHYSICALLY. NO NEED INSTALLATION HASSLES.
- d) NO. CAUSE I FIND THESE ADS INTERESTING AND NOT BOTHERSOME AT ALL.
The survey exploring where internet ads could be disturbing concludes that internet advertising is really and truly maddening. 50% of readers voted on C, whereas A & D ended with fair percentage of 25%. Ironically, none of any readers cast a vote on B.
This is a universal predicament that makes all advertising agencies vulnerable. The failure of advertisers apply its artistic magic to online advertising space illustrate how the absence of genuine interactivity – in this case, developed by advertising agencies with marketers - makes it impossible to realize digital's potential. Interactivity that gives consumers of what they want and are willing to pay for, is the plum growth vehicle that eludes many companies, even as broadband is burgeoning as a global lifeline for critical communication and entertainment.
The predicament of online advertisers advertises online without knowing their market and core purposes would prolonged unless media and advertisers use interactivity to capture surfers' attention. Nonetheless, knowing consumers' desire is fairly important too.
Thousands of disparate tiny steps are being taken to explore connectivity as a hub utility at a time when bold strides are needed. This is, after all, no recessionary retrenchment; it's a revolution.
